Firebug, or the lack there of, WAS the only thing stopping me from using Firefox 3 on a more permanent basis, especially now it's much faster and integrates better on the Mac and given that Safari seems to be quite selective at what it caches. For some unknown reason, Firefox on my Mac Mini has been running incredibly slowly and consuming huge chunks of CPU time recently, so I thought I'd try Safari again. It's been a while since I used Safari for anything other than checking site compatibility, and I noticed the most recent OS X update (I'm still on Tiger) included Safari 3, so I took it for a spin, and I'm impressed. This came as a surprise to me: you can now get Safari (the Mac web browser) for Windows. Whilst it's only in beta at the moment, it's good to see another good FREE browser become available for Windows. The more good FREE browsers for Windows there are, the better (I've been having a nightmare with my new design on my personal site and IE 6). Update: Well, that didn't take long. It's already broken.
